Integrations
Mural
Connect Mural so collaborative boards live inside your Gleo prep and your runtime Tools tab.
Mural lets your team work together on a visual canvas. Connect Mural to Gleo and those boards stop living in a separate browser tab — they show up inside the prep your participants do before a session, and inside the Tools tab while a playbook is running.
Two places Mural shows up in Gleo
Mural embed task
Add a Mural board as a pre-work task in Studio or in the session's Prep tab. Participants see the board inline when they open the prep page — no extra tab to chase.
Tools tab card
During a running playbook, the Tools tab shows your Mural boards as a launcher card so the team can jump straight into them mid-session.
Walkthrough
-
1
Connect Mural ~1 min
Sidebar → Integrations → Mural → Connect. You'll be redirected to Mural to authorise; once approved, you land back on the integrations page.
-
2
Add a Mural embed pre-work task ~2 min
In Studio (on a Session Template) or in the Prep tab of a session, open the task picker and choose Mural embed. Select a board from the list of murals you have access to.
-
3
Preview as a participant
Use Preview mode (or open the prep page from a participant's perspective) to confirm the board renders correctly. If a participant sees a permission prompt instead of the board, see the pitfall below.

Surface boards at runtime
Inside an Active Playbook, open the Tools tab. Your connected murals appear as launcher cards — useful for jumping into a board mid-session without losing your place in Gleo.
Permissions are per user
Mural access is granted per person, not per workspace. Connecting Mural in your Gleo account lets you see and embed your boards. It does not grant access to your participants.
For participants to view an embedded mural, one of two things has to be true: the board is public (Mural's "share with anyone" link), or the participant has been granted access in Mural to that specific board.
If you're embedding a board that participants aren't already members of, the cleanest route is to make the board public on Mural's side before publishing the session.
Disconnecting
Disconnect from Sidebar → Integrations → Mural → Disconnect. Existing embedded boards inside session prep remain — but the per-board permission still applies, so viewers will need their own Mural access to load them.
Tips & pitfalls
Embed sparingly. A pre-work task with three murals to look at takes longer than reading three documents. One well-chosen board usually does the job.
Test from an incognito window. Your own browser session caches Mural credentials, so the embed always loads for you. Preview mode helps; an incognito window helps more.
