Attio

Connect Attio so playbooks link to company records, contacts import in one click, and Gleo activity surfaces back in your CRM.

Attio is an AI-native CRM — and one of the most useful integrations in Gleo if you run client engagements from a playbook. Connect once and you can link each playbook to a company record, import real contacts as team members and session participants, and push Gleo programme data back into Attio so your CRM stays current without duplicate entry.

This page walks the full flow: company link → team import → stakeholder map → session participants.

Three places Attio shows up

Playbook

Company link

Associate a running playbook with an Attio company record. Gleo writes programme metadata — active programme link, activity status, whether the client has active playbooks — back to custom attributes on that company in Attio.

Playbook team

Import from Attio

Pull contact records from the linked company (or search by name) and add them to the playbook team in bulk — your agency side and the customer's side, without retyping names and emails.

Session

Participants from CRM

Add known playbook team members with one click, or import additional stakeholders directly from Attio when a session needs a different mix of people than the standing team.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

    Connect Attio ~1 min

Sidebar → Integrations → Attio → Connect. Authorise in Attio; you'll be redirected back when complete.

  2. 2

Link the playbook to a company

Open the playbook's Home tab. Click Company, search for the client (e.g. Ironvale Milling), and select the Attio company record. The playbook title can stay as-is — this step creates the CRM relationship, not just a rename.

  3. 3

    Verify the link in Attio

Open the company record in Attio. Gleo custom attributes should now show programme data — an active programme link, recent activity, and whether the company has active playbooks running.

  4. 4

    Import the playbook team

Open the playbook's Team tab → Import from Attio. Search for the company; Gleo lists its contact records. Click each person to add them as playbook team members — your agency contacts and the customer's stakeholders in one pass.

  5. 5

    Instrument the stakeholder map

Switch to the Stakeholder map view on the Team tab. Plot who drives the engagement, who is the key approver, and who needs to be kept informed — the same member set, read through an influence-and-interest lens.

  6. 6

    Add session participants

When planning a session, open the Participants tab. Add known playbook team members with one click (e.g. a 1:1 with the key approver), or Import from Attio again if this session needs additional stakeholders who aren't on the standing team.

  7. 7

    Publish

Complete session prep and publish the session. Participants receive a calendar invite with a link to their prep work (or follow-up, depending on where the session is in its lifecycle).

Gleo data in Attio

Linking a company is bidirectional. Once connected, Gleo pushes programme context into Attio custom attributes on the company record — so account managers and sales teams see engagement status inside the CRM they already work in, without opening Gleo.

Typical fields Gleo surfaces on the Attio company record:

  • Active programme link — a direct link back to the running playbook in Gleo.
  • Activity status — whether the engagement is active and recently updated.
  • Active playbooks — whether the company currently has live programmes.

Exact attribute names depend on your Attio workspace configuration; the integration writes to the Gleo-managed custom fields Attio exposes after you connect.

Playbook team vs session participants

Attio imports respect Gleo's existing scoping model:

  • Playbook team — the standing cast for the whole engagement. Import from Attio here once; members then appear as suggested adds on every session's Participants tab.
  • Session participants — the cast for one meeting. Quick-add from the playbook team for regular attendees; import from Attio again when a workshop needs a wider stakeholder set.

See Team tab and Participants tab for the full mental model.

Disconnecting

Disconnect from Sidebar → Integrations → Attio → Disconnect. Existing company links and imported members remain on playbooks and sessions — disconnect stops new Attio lookups and sync until you reconnect.

Tips & pitfalls

Link the company before importing contacts. Searching Attio for team imports works best once the playbook is associated with the right company record — you'll get the relevant contact list without hunting across your whole CRM.

Stakeholder map is optional but high leverage. Importing contacts gets people into Gleo; plotting them on the stakeholder map tells you how to work with them — who approves, who needs visibility, who drives day to day.

Calendar + Attio is a strong combo. With Calendar connected, publishing a session ships the prep link in the calendar invite automatically — the elegant end state of an Attio-powered participant list.
